now tried - regsvr32
it said that i don't have - Msjava.dll in my library.
i think its quite crucial. how can i get it or what else should i do?

Try switching to Mozilla! Sorry, had to say that. The dll file is for Java, not JavaScript. Java can be turned on and off in Tools - Internet Options - Advanced, but it will have no effect on JavaScript. Also, JavaScript should have no effect on regular links, just ones with an href value that starts with the "javascript:" pseudo-URL.

I'm afraid I don't know of anyplace in IE where you can purposely turn on/off JavaScript, just Java. You might try doing a reinstall of IE. Also, make sure you don't have any viruses gumming the works.

Actually, on further reflection, I think there is an option in Tools - Internet Options - Security that allows you to disable "Active Scripting". I believe that will disable JavaScript.

What I meant was that it might have gotten disabled there and you could re-enable by going there and clicking the appropriate radio button.

i checks that already.
the funny thing is that it was working and suddenly is stopped. i think because of the bloody update.
but i checked everything i could. except for reinstalling. i cannot do it for some reason, probably cause it came with a bundle with the internet connection.

anyway thanks for your help. i really appriciate it.
