I have a website that opens a pop up window after loading. The pop up window has 3 links. Is there a way of clicking on the links and getting the pages to load in the page behind (the one that generated the popup)?

At the moment I have them set to target _blank but that means I end up with tons of separate windows!

Thanks, hope this makes sense!

I'm no JS expert so I wait with interest for the real answer but in the meantime....

should'nt it be target_parent (or something similar?) I'm sure I remember somthing like that...

Just finished setting up a bunch of these - so the snippet is close at hand. I love the timing!

onClick="window.opener.parent.location='yournewurl';"

Thanks Tedster, I was needing that a few weeks ago, but I just worked around it.

I'll put it to good use now.

thanks so much for that :-)

I'll add it to my ever increasing list of useful stuff since I can't write any of it myself.

This site is so cool, there are loads of forums out there where you can wait weeks for a reply, here its instant!
