Adsense - How much do you earn?

Accoding to Nodaclu, we ARE now allowed to disclose our gross earnings but not CTR and other stats. At last some much needed inspiration... who wants to go first?

How much did you earn through Adsense in the last 12 months?

Well So far I have about $8100 this month, with 1.5 days left. This by far is the best month I have had so far. I run probably about 15 sites having a combined total of probably close to 900,000 pages (a lot are forum archives and such). Over the last 7 months I have managed to increase the mohtly earnings, starting at $900 7 months ago.

I'm happy with what I am earing with google and would be happy if it continues at the $8K level a month. There is one important thing I do. I make sure i have other revenue sources for when google fails if it does. Google accounts for about 1/3 of my monthly revenue, so if it did suddenly stop paying me I would have other streams of revenue.

The increase over the last several months has been a combination of adding mroe pages, buying a few sites, optimizing the ads on the page and getting an increase in traffic.

Just a note to those who are getting comfortable with what they are earning or have grand designs for more...

Adsense is a roller coaster. There are a lot of variables that can throw a monkey wrench in your plans. It's not IF it will happen to you, but when.

Algo changes, Adwords policy changes, Adsense policy changes, pricing models changes, big advertisers drop out, summer time comes and nobody wants to be on the net...

Adsense is a lot like life itself = up and down, up and down, up and down, etc.

Keep this in mind when building your business strategy.

I've seen some decent checks for myself but one day, everything dropped 80% on income, 50% on impressions and 90% on CTR...just like that...

I am suspicious...Can someone do a 302 on your search results and steal your income? I have seen my url (non-clickable) on a bunch of related theme pages and concindently my AdSense income dropped as stated above. I think someone has figured out a way to steal adsense/website traffic from others. But I am paranoid. I don't like seeing my non-clickable url on other people's sites which makes me wonder if they have used some trick to detour my traffic and hence the drop in AdSense income. So...is it possible?

The bulk of my money is earned by NOON PST

How do you know this?

Because I check often enough (every couple of hours) I know how much my site has at 8am 12noon 6pm and midnight. Not like I camp at the computer to check AdSense (who am I kidding, I have no life) but I work on the computer all day so nothing wrong with a little "update" now and then :)

Now that I have <snip> installed it pops up a balloon within 15 minutes every time the earnings update on Google so it gets to be intuitive, like tracking a stock. My wife and I now "bet" on the noon numbers based on the 8am numbers LOL

Hi All

I have joined Adsense in January 2005. My site has been up since December 2004. Currently I'm receiving about 35 unique visitors per day.

My Adsense earnings is the incredible (when I convert it to my local currency) amounts of:

Jan 05: $3
Feb 05: $8
Mar 05: $13

I do my site part-time and I tend to work on it in bursts. The only question now is when my next burst will be...:)

Regards
Leon

Hi

I am a newbie in this forum. I learned TONS of lessons. Great webmasterworld!

I've been doing AdSense for a month, and with a new site (or blog, more exactly). I earned only $1.08. My blog is about cellphones reviews. and right now it contains about 25-30 'articles' (or sort of) of cellphones types' reviews. I use blogger.

I read once in this thread that EPC for blogs are lower than PPC sites. Is this true? All I know is that EPC depends on the bid of Google ADwords users.
My EPC varied from $0.015 to $0.07. All ads in my cellphone blogs are relevant (from online cellphone retailers).

Gee, reading all you rake thousands bucks make me really motivated! DO you have any comments about my low earnings? Any feedback is gold. Thanks!

OK...here's my report for my first month with adsense and the first month that my site has been online! I had 10,000 ad impressions and made $7.08.

Hopefully, I will start getting more visitors in the future. Unfortunately, my site hasn't even been fully indexed in ANY search engine yet :(

How much traffic are you getting per day/month?

IncrediBILL, I am getting only average 47 page impressions per day in March. But day-by-day, it swings widely. I use RSS in my blog. Interestingly, when I post new content, my page impressions increased, though not dramatically. I have only tiny 1.7% CTR. I use half banner text ads and blend the ads color with my blog color.

I also use AdLinks along the links list in my blog. I wonder how I can increase my page impressions. Right now I only promote my blog by dropping links when posting in cellphone forums.

Any advice?

Nice and very interesting topic here.
Well, here is my question for the Adsense experts. I am thinking about joining Adsense. Our very specific professional content website has about 250.000 unique visitors month and about 1 million PVs month (Alexa rounding 17.000).
Our site offers both contents/news and a B2B market place system.
so, I'd like to know your opinion about the following, based on it we will decide joining or not:

1. Considering that we are a bussines (we pay wages, rents and so) Do you think Adsense will be profitable for us?
2. and the most difficult question, is anyone able to calculate and aproximate income we could make a month?

I appreciate your comments, thanks

Chances are it will make you good money, but you will never know unless you try it.

2. and the most difficult question, is anyone able to calculate and aproximate income we could make a month?
This would be near impossible, you have to consider how much people are biding on the ads being shown, where you will place Adsense on your web site and how click happy your visitors are.

robotsdobetter, I was thinking more ore less the same as you, but we are a bit against trying to see if it works or not. On the other hand if we dont try we'll never know.. maybe, but we can always make predictions and then see whether we were mistaken... or not!.
Anyway if we try it I'll post the results here after a few days.
If anyone wants to bet...
;)

Bear in mind that you should be prepared for a decline from your first few days' results. When the ads displayed are new to your visitors, and visitors haven't started ignoring that part of the page, you'll probably get significantly more clicks than later on. (Which isn't to say that the figures later on won't be good, it's just to say that they may well not be as good.)

Yes, I have to take that into account as well. thanks. Anyway, I thinl there should be a way to calculate aproximately how much profit you may make.

Can you all start giving your monthly page views, in addition to how much you earn a month? I am very interested in these figures :)

Over $1000 a month, with growth of five to ten percnt per month.

Its a niche site with over eighty percent return visitors.

Nov 2004 $1.12
Dec 2004 $0.69
Jan 2005 $2.75
Feb 2005 $3.33
Mar 2005 $6.27

A mini hub built around IT jobs in Egypt.

My problem lies in getting more TRAFFIC.

shafaki,

At that rate, you should get a check from Google AdSense in mid-2006! ;-)

I will feel your pain if I get accepted by AdSense!

April, 12th: $6.66

The problem is not in AdSense. It's in the low traffic of my site. I get around 30 impressions per day only!

I have a mental health / counseling related site. It makes over $1000 / mo. from Adsense.

I barely make anything from Fastclick.

I am expecting a check of $125 from Adsense, but I am spending around $70 to promote my site, so net profit is only $55

Perhaps I'm being nosey - but wouldn't it be usefyul to have links to people's websites where they say they'te earning oodles of dosh?

I don't see any profile links or anything.

I've only just, (last two months), seriously joined the Adsense Money Trail with a small webpage on a subject which I accidently discovered had a high clickable return for me when I blogged about he subject, (where I have other Adsense ads).

I reckon I would be rapidily approaching my first cheque payment in a month's time - maybe :)

I know I've skipped to the end of this thread to make this comment/request about links to other people's "profitable pages" - and it may have been asked before - but I thought I'd ask it anyway.

Thanks
