Adsense - How much do you earn?

Accoding to Nodaclu, we ARE now allowed to disclose our gross earnings but not CTR and other stats. At last some much needed inspiration... who wants to go first?

How much did you earn through Adsense in the last 12 months?

i am surprised at how better you are doing with Fastclick as compared to Adsense. For me, it's the total opposite.
I'd like to learn some banner ad tips from you, if you don't mind.

I guess it's only because fastclick pays mostly CPM, and my sites have a lot of unique pageviews, while adsense pays CPC. Also, their interstitials are really good. And I only accept campaigns that pay not less than 0.40 CPM (no cursors, screensavers, emoticons etc cheap ads).

Pleased (and proud) to say -

Last 12 Months USD 18,748
Average Month USD 1895.00

Am I an 'average' publisher I wonder?

Just wondering, those of you who earn thousands from Adsense, do you have any other advertisement on your site? I have other ads that pay MUCH more than Adsense, sometimes 10 times more. I wonder if adsense performs well only if it does not interfere with other, more eye-catchy ads.

Natashka mentioned celeb/tv stuff. In my experience... entertainment-based sites, have far better alternatives to AdSense.

I earn thousands with AdSense on my entertainment sites... but I make about 5x that with FastClick & 468x60 (no popups, no interstitials... just banners).

On my informational, article-based sites... it's just the opposite... on-topic, contextual ads cannot be beat.

My Adsense history is short, so I am posting weekly totals:

jan 21-jan 25 $1
jan 26-fef 1 $3
feb 2-feb 8 $5
feb 9-feb 15 $10
feb 16-feb 22 $45
feb 23-mar 1 $66
mar 2-mar 8 $77
mar 9-mar 15 $89

So, not that much but it's the trend I like. :-)

Profit from 2 sites:
1) large reference site with abt 20.000 pages, 9.000 pages/day, very low CTR and very low CPC
2) small niche professional site with abt 700 pages/day, higher CTR and MUCH higher CPC

The two sites are approximaltely contributing 50-50 to my earnings!

I'm thinking all the big earners are hiding their stats :) Luckily i could care less about hiding how much i make. Let this serve as inspiration:

Last month: $3600.

This month: $3500 ...so far. ;-)~~~~~~~

Niche is some consumer product.

I've been visiting Adsense Forum for almost a year now, normally for Inspiration. I now see that some members are making a living from AdSense, on some of these figures, I could certainly quit my day job.

I'm just suprised that there are so many who DON'T or WON'T declare their Adsense Revenue. I can kinda understand why (being British, we can be funny about these things) but when you consider this forum is about Adsense (MAKING REVENUE) I would imagine this should be one of the most important threads ever?

It would be great to see some of the so called 'UPS Club Members' post their earnings... and hear the Jaws of thousands drop...

Verry interesting topic :)

my earings for the first 3 months where $152 on cheque,

after that multiplied my impressions with a crazy factor, but the revenue is not following, (mayb the febrari stuff)

Feb earings are a little over $100

March till now: over $110

I have 4 sites with adsense on it, ill try to be with all sites a good content provider; rewrite and/or write articles my own etc..

Im trying to make a living of these and maybe more sites, i like webmasterworld a lot a visit this site everyday. Keep the good work people!

I'm not going to give exact earnings, just a general view:

2003: not even $1,000
2004: roughly $12,000
2005: $10,000 so far

Sept 2004- 1332.94
Oct 2004- 2011.91
Nov. 2004- 1710.33
Dec. 2004- 932.48
Jan. 2005- 767.00
Feb. 2005- 864.57

My site is somewhat seasonal, my hits always drop in half before Christmas and pick back up around September.

I got rid of the bottom links on my site this month, it's doing better so far.

January = $9,000
February = $6800
March = running about the same as February.

(note: I sold a website at the end of Jan that was making a solid $50/day, which is why my income goes down the next month).

Don't even ask me what niches and categories I am in. My whole operation is Top Secret.

I know there are a lot of high rollers here making more then $10k/month. I can think of about 7 members right now that are in the UPS club, according to them.

"I could certainly quit my day job. "
do that boy and in the new update of google you will be a homeless starving and go to your local National insurance as a begger. You must undestand that the dot com ,internet business is like gambling,my advice ,the guys playing that game and earn big bucks are companies with stuff,if you are a small publisher do that as a sport never let your job ,the main stable bread for you and your family,if you think that this is your life ...make money from the net you need a therapy. If you are a teen and need pocket money do it as long as you don't let your studies away,
internet is changing every day and is a game for big fishes only, wana make some pocket money?put some adsense at your page and thats all ,do not invest your life in that game or should i say better ,get a life.

No problemo...I've only just logged in after watching the Chancellor's budget election bribe to pensioners!

Average just over $1200 per month, should make $1300 this month if it continues the same even with the lower EPC.

hmm not sure what the fascination is with knowing what other webmasters make...however i guess i can share my stats if it makes you feel better!
Running one website just started adsense in jan, made 1.9k, feb made 4.65k, this month on target to break 12.
would rather not disclose the niche, impressions are about 20,000 a day. I discovered that new content is the key to success in late feb...earnings skyrocketed and continue to do so

Very motivating thread.

My site is an online magazine and resource for a specific industry. Although I have tried some affiliates including Amazon, I have had little success. Adsense Ads seem to be a much more valuable product to put on my "shelves." The sharp increase in the first three months was due to me adding AdSense to more and more pages of my roughly 150 page website.

September $453.75
October $700.20
November $1,349.88
December $2,598.56
January $1,741.75
February $2,598.56
March $1,302.12 Up to march 15

For those posting large numbers, it would probably help us appreciate alot more if you also post the number of websites you have, the general theme of the site(s) (you don't have to be precise if its that precious to you) and if you are pulling in that kind of volume via heavy advertising or just unpaid search engine hits.

If you are pulling in $1,000's per month but spending 50% of that in advertising it's less impressive, no?

Can you tell us how many sites to achieve that kinda of money?... also are any of these individuals running mainstream sites?

Poker sites do, I know some people who started a web cam site for about 10 grand.. They are making 3 million a month now, another cam site does 8 million/month. There is that kind of money in nearly every major industry. To make real money you have to charge for a intangable service.

Thx steve, projections when you earn that much from adsense are hard to make. A swing of 40% CPM puts you up or down ~40k/month.

markus007:
$78,000 sounds impressive for me - this month I aim to break the $5,000 mark with 2 sites (a big one and a small one which earns a few hundred dollars). Cool that you even know friends that are making more than ten times as much as you do.

How long is it ago since you (and they) started with websites? Is it one year, two year or maybe even 7 years?

for the first few months adsense was up i was only making a grand a month. Then i caught on :)

I've seen sites do a million a month in the first month, others take years. There is no rulebook, it all comes down to marketing skills.

That depends, if it's $3M net, I'll take the product provider.

It's it's $3M gross, with a typical 20% profit margin, I'd rather get $1M from AdSense :)
