What is your best $$$ day on AS to date?

How much money did you make on your best day in 2005?

I expect this thread to have a wide range of numbers. The reason for my inquiry is motivational, and educational. I want to know where I can get to by the experiences of others. I know when I started with AS I was sooo happy to break the $10 mark (for the day). Now my top day is $27. My milestone will be the $100 mark for the day.

If you have a good story to tell, please do. I'm sure many of us would surely benefit from your story, and/or advice on the subject.

Also, do you set goals on what numbers you want to achieve?

It sounds like you're doing it exactly right from the context of having a site that is a strong earner over the long-term - build your site, build your traffic, build your revenues.

My top day with AdSense was between $500-700.

My advice is to diversify. Being in the UPS club would be nice but it's better to have 2 programs each earning you $5000 a month than relying on only one program that makes you 10k a month.

Well, webdreamer, I guess I am where you were when you started. I broke the $10 mark for the first time this month and was so excited. I've been on adsense since about May and my average monthly earnings have been slowly but steadily increasing as I continue to build my site.

I remember some of the more experienced folks saying in a previous thread quite a while back that the first $20 is the hardest to reach ... I'm holding out to see if that is going to prove true for me.

I do okay with Amazon, just have to sell expensive things. My best day this year was around $135, my average is more like $50 though.

AdSense is a great way to make money on the web but I mean you shouldn't focus on AdSense alone.

There are many ways to make 5k a month on the web and I'm sure it's possible to achieve it with at least one of the three programs you called bad.

Mr_Fern you always post an "on the money" reply. Your number certainly sounds like an excellent goal for me to shoot for - thanks.

I will be launching another website within the next couple of days. I'm hoping to see my numbers jump up a little (or a lot).

It will be even better than my current workhorse. Again, with this site I will be incorperating AS. I'm not making enough money for the need to diversify yet. But, all your advice duly noted, and will be stored in my toolbox for future use.

my previous best day was $130 last year. then just a couple weeks ago someone with a radio show mentioned my site on her blog and in one day, with a huge spike in traffic, I made $1,104. If only every day was like that one day ... I'd made $500 before I even got out of bed.

Best day was my first, as I run a forum and a few side pages.
It was around 20 bucks.

This week I caught lightning in a bottle and came up with a very innovative idea and we are shattering our traffic records on the forums and a key page.
Over 9,000 impressions each day for 2 days between AS and Chitika.
Worked very hard at poring over the stats sheets and matching Chit ads to the visitor interests.
Got zero clicks.
AS got me like 26 cents.

Time for me to quit checking stats and wasting time with the ad jumbling.
I'll take whatever I get at this point, and so be it.
My time is better spent doing something useful with my life...LOL

$5k/month is less than $170/day. Follow all the quality advice found on this site, and you'll reach a point where that number is easily attainable via numerous revenue sources.

Can't agree with this. The single program earns twice as much in this example. I take your point and maybe it's better than 6K from one source, but at 10K I would happily stick with the single program.

Hmm well about $450 is my max this year so far, usually around 250-350. Make more each day from the sum of likes of Tribal, Fastclick, Gorilla Nation etc. but usually Adsense is the single biggest daily income.

I found that even if I run Google across all the slots the income does not go up so better to just keep it in a few spots and has added bonus of splitting the revenue sources...which can only be healthy. I guess look at it as an ad that can be placed where others can't...since does not annoy users that much.

anand84 -- Don't get discouraged! Everybody has to start somewhere. When I started Adsense earlier this year I was exactly where you are now. Just keep building your site and doing SEO and PR. November was the first month where I earned over $100 within one month's time. Given my averages this month, I should reach the $100 mark tomorrow for December. My Amazon sales were also once very sporadic, but now I do better with Amazon than with AS. (Now hopefully earnings won't drop off too much after Christmas comes and goes. =P)

I know I still don't earn much compared to many, but watching my site grow -- and reading everyone else's success stories -- motivates me to continue plugging away. Thanks for sharing, everyone!

With a lot of hard work e.g. a full time effort on it I have got to the point where I am disappointed at $40 in a day and have on a few lucky days got near to $100. I hope with 6 months more effort things will really be paying off.

For people running small sites though, i'd say that I also run a few poorly optimised sites that do actually have some very good real content, I also run a very big and popular site with fantastic content by the bucket load, but with no aggressive effort to make money via google. These small sites and the big site make absolute peanuts, maybe $3-$4 a day between the lot of them.

My best day with adsense was some kind of freak event. There's really no other way to describe it. In 2 years it happened only once and then never even came close to that number again. Clicks and impressions that day were normal but ECPM was off the charts and earnings were close to 300.00.

Well, actually my best day with adsense was the day I switched to YPN but that's another story.

My best day this year was in February and it was a $327 day, which I have never come close to achiving again. :(

Ugually I do about $100 a day.
