What is your best $$$ day on AS to date?

How much money did you make on your best day in 2005?

I expect this thread to have a wide range of numbers. The reason for my inquiry is motivational, and educational. I want to know where I can get to by the experiences of others. I know when I started with AS I was sooo happy to break the $10 mark (for the day). Now my top day is $27. My milestone will be the $100 mark for the day.

If you have a good story to tell, please do. I'm sure many of us would surely benefit from your story, and/or advice on the subject.

Also, do you set goals on what numbers you want to achieve?

Thank you in advance.

Based on this thread, it's about 2 to 3 % of publishers making over $1000 a day. Most made less than $10 a day.

Excellent observation FromRocky.

I know that the folks making $10 a day will be glad to hear they are just scratching the surface of the $$$ they can make from AS.

To the 2% of the people making $1000 a day, you're an inspiration to the rest of us - the other 98%!

Well, in post #93 I mentioned $22. I've already beaten that this year by more than $3 ;-)

It feels great!

I understand that people want some inspiration or want to know what the income possibilities are with adsense, but IMO these how much do you make threads mean nothing. Sure, maybe 2-3 percent of people participating in this thread make less than 10 a day, but you will also notice that most of the people that volunteer their earnings in these threads are new members here. There do not appear to be many older members posting their earnings.

IMO these how much do you make threads mean nothing.

I'm sure some may view those who post high daily earnings as braggarts and sometimes even maybe liars, but I think the idea is more of a "what's really possible?"

They mention Weblogs making over $3,000 a day in their showcase on adsense and while that may be inspiring to some (myself included), to some they want to see what their fellow webmasters are making as opposed to some company's earnings to see if it's possible for them to make those same kinds of earnings.

It's sort of like infomercial testimonials. You see the kind of money some people are making with a program on tv, so you may be coaxed into trying it out. Difference is, you're already a part of the adsense program, getting testimonials after the fact.

It's just always good to remember "Individual Results May Vary."

I think that is more of a function of those older members who maybe making a decent amount of money are not spending time reading forums about making money or aren't interested in threads about how much others earn :-)

There are actually two points that I'm making with that comment - one, many who are older members have simply moved on - they've gotten what they needed from the forums, or they prefer to read a few select threads here and there. The second point would be that those who are making a lot more money may not have the time for reading the forums.

That's not to say that there are no older members still posting - there are plenty posting here everyday, helping out new members.

To stick to the original topic somewhat, I will say that the last few days of December were my best day(s) which is sort of a pleasant surprise (it's continued over into today as well).

We welcome all senior members, as well as new members, to participate in this thread.

This is for giving new members ideas on what goals to set for themselves. Attainable goals. While also documenting their progress in achieving these goals.

I remember posting my best day somewhere around $22 just a month or two ago. Now my best day ever is $89.

It's working for me.

Senior members have a chance to help those of us making less than them, to shoot higher, and reach for the stars. Only it helps if we know which star we are reaching for. If any Senior Member would like to give us an insight on their best day (money wise), I'm sure there are many of us here that would value your post.

Thank you.

webdreamer,

Is you increase due to more traffic, better ad placement, or what?

Webdreamer;

I'm far fom the highest earner here. While I'm not going to reveal exactly what I earn, I will say it beats flipping burgers at a fast food joint, and it's a lot more fun.

If I had to point to one star, I'd point to the traffic star. The one that sends real legitimate targeted traffic. Targeted traffic is as important as targeted ads.

Of course that's not the only star in the sky. The heat map [google.com] star sheds a lot of light too. Those hot spots are there for a reason. That doesn't mean every hot spot works for every site, but they give you a great path to follow while you try to find what works best for your site.

For most people just starting out it may take awhile to make a living at this. Folks like me had it easier because we already had existing sites and traffic before Adsense even came existed.

That said, I just finished my second full year using Adsense (2005). My traffic was 50% higher in my second year. My second year earnings were 3 times as much as my first year (2004). I only have one site and it has been online since 2000.

Both the traffic and earnings increase are directly attributable to what I've learned here at WW and at the two Pubcon conferences I've attended.

Mike73 I started up another website and my traffic more than doubled, as did my earnings.

I am working on a third website now, and hoping to increase my traffic and income three-fold.

As always ken_b, you post a great reply. It is very helpful to me, and I'm sure many others who come across your posts. Thank you.

My best day was yesterday. (after 2 years of adsense) I'd love to see this continue. Earnings have been gradually crawling up. Looks like today probably won't beat yesterday though.

My top day?
$47.00 I do believe. :) And I was unbelievably thrilled! In fact, I did a happy dance all around the room like the geek I am.

By the way -- I'm going to come back to this thread OVER and OVER again and read about all of you making $$$'s a day. Yay Adsense! hehe

Take care all,
Christina
