I'm have read on here that in the UK the main PPC engines are AdWords, Overture, Espotting and Looksmart. I currently have accounts with AdWords and Overture and am quite pleased with the way they are running but wondering whether ot not to try Espotting or Looksmart as well.

The business I'm in is high-end expensive B2B software. I currently get about 5 clicks a day and 2 conversions a week from both AdWords and Overture and was just wondering if any of you think it's worth me trying the other two. What are the likely results compared to what I'm already getting?

All input is greatly appreciated!

Thanks again, GM

Well LookSmart UK has now closed. As for Espotting it may be worth a go - just track your ROI carefully.

The bids can be seen on the Espotting website.

Cheers sem4u - I wondered why it was all in dollars!

Is Espotting quite highly regarded? I'd never even heard of it until reading about it on these forums.

In regard to ROI I work by sales leads (am in marketing) and Adwords/Overture give me them nice and cheaply. Is Espotting usually quite expensive then?

Espotting ads are displayed everywhere......some good some bad. If you are paying be aware that the click ****s will display your ads, google will pick them up and show the ads, so even though you think you are paying for uk visitors you will end up with global ones. This can be very costly and get no roi.

which sites display Espotting bids?

100's of small players, primarily in Europe.

They don't have any major partners like Yahoo/Ask Jeeves any more (unless you count Lycos or McDonalds as big).

Just had a little trawl through the past threads here and a few people mention Mirago - might it be an idea if I try them?

Try a couple of searches in Google and see the usual crop of directories appearing.

Mirago and Webfinder are well worth a trial these days.

Tried both Mirago & Webfinder, Mirago provided the better ROI. Webfinder has the added advantage of choosing a location withn the UK if you prefer. I've also come acoss the Lookfour site with CPC provided by Nvidium (I think). Never tried it yet they seem to have high search volumes.

Overture is without doubt the better for me.
