Splut in the UK

Has anybody used them?

Slut offer free direcoty listings with the ability to bid to the top of page via their own PPC engine.

BUT their SERP pages are a mixture of their directory and Epsotting UK, with Adsense results in the side bar. Hmmm.

So it doesn't seem worth the effort; anybody know differently?

(Threads back in 2003 suggest it isn't, wondered if anybody has tried it recently)
