I just started using the tool (April 3) and find it quite remarkable. Not sure I entirely trust its results. For example: how does the conversion part of the tool truly tell someone bought at a page where I insert the "buy" part of their code
I am not using the revenue part of their tool -- have not got that far yet with it; Just the code that identifies and counts the landing pages and the conversion pages. But this looks like a real good thing, or am I stupid?
In plain English: if the "Find What" code for conversion is on a page from which someone may order, and if some customer goes there and does not order, is it possible the FW code still counts that as a buy just because the customer got there? When it was not a sale?
Sorry for my lack of knowledge, but that is the question I have, if anyone will be kind enough to enlighten. Thanks. And BTW, Any comments from anyone using this FindWhat tool will be most welcomed.
Yes it counts it.
I believe you are suppose to put the conversion tracker on the page after they complete the order not on the page they may order from.
For example, if you have an online book store, the customer picks the book to buy and then goes to the page to type in cc number and then once they are finished purchasing the product the customer is sent to a page like "thank you for buying" or something like that, the code should be on that "thank you for buying" page.
