One unknown that's generated considerable buzz of late is graphical sponsored listings. Would marketers do well to add images and richer visual elements to their paid search results?


a very interesting article indeed.

in the UK espotting and webfinder have both been doing this for a long time.

Ah-ha and Kanoodle were doing this also for awhile. I had forgot if it was Ah-ha that had an agreement with AV at one time to show Corp. Logos with the listings. I think they called it LogoLinks?

As long as it's a simple logo, it could be effective. But if they start letting in "logos" that are 200 px wide, flash, dance, and play , the premium listings will start being ignored.
