For a consumer retail site, if we're starting to do PPC, any recommendations on whether to start in a Google or Adwords program or to spend the money on something like BizRate or Shopping.com?

I'd try both with a long list of keywords, and then track how each does on each system. You might just find that it will take a combination of adwords, overture, and some smaller players with a unique combination of converting keyword phrases on each.

Ok - then from a webmaster point of view - does anyone know what % espotting pay to webmasters? I know this is a negotiable figure , but does anyone here know what to aim for?
