"Free" ads in Lycos InSite Adbuyer?

Haven't flipped from Offline to Normal status

Got the email from Lycos advising that the account is live and all the ads are in Offline status but each needs the "Change" link to be clicked to flip them to Normal status.

Yet over 80% of the keywords tested show the ads in a search (as Sponsored links).

The client also has an enabled account with FindWhat (which appears to manage the Lycos InSite Adbuyer engine as well) -- could the ads be "leaking" from there? Not sure this is the case because keywords that refuse to display the ad in Lycos do show the ad when searched via FindWhat.

Not complaining, just wondering if anyone else has noticed this.

I think I mentioned this in another thread too but to complete this one, the answer is that I was seeing Overture ads in Lycos. I only saw them if the OV bids were high enough.
