How many pages can you submit to LookSmart?

10 too many?

My client has 10 keywords for which the only shot of ranking in the top 30 on MSN Search is to get LookSmart listings, and we don't want to go the Overture route yet. I know LS has become more money-hungry over time (ah, I mean, they're pursuing monetizing search strategies), so I'm hoping that they'd accept 10 section-level page submissions.

Is it reasonable to do paid submissions to LS for 10 section-level pages, e.g., the "Bronze Widgets" section page, the "Copper Widgets" section page, etc.? Do you think such pages would be accepted, assuming the pages were on the up-and-up?

2500.00+/month minimum if you are going after more than the number of listings available through small biz stuff (typically 1-5 listings - more than 1 if you get special offers)

Oh man! I should have done my research a little more carefully. Per LS' Small Business listings guidelines [listings.looksmart.com]:

You may only submit one URL for your business via the Small Business Listing service. To list multiple subpages from your site, we offer our LookListings option. If this URL limit is exceeded, LookSmart reserves the right to reject additional submissions. Rejected submissions will not be refunded. Please refer to our FAQ for further information.

So skibum, you're saying the only way we'd be able to squeak another Small Business listing in would be if we'd received some kind of marketing offer from LS. Is that right?

There is an SEO/SEM channel that will allow you to submit additional URLs as long as the content for the pages is unique. Several major SEOs/SEMs have this channel active.
