Why are my ppc registrations mainly foreign

when my ppc campaigns are uk only?

I am running simultaneous ppc campaigns on google and the overture & miva networks, for some reason 60% of our sign ups are from abroad.

I realise people can access the uk domains from abroad, but when you are paying for a uk only campaign, you expect uk traffic. Is there any way of filtering this?

I could amend the ads to say the proposition is uk only.

Abroad meaning North America? Also how many sales are you talking?

Google's geotargeting is quite reliable, from my experience.

How much of your traffic is coming from Miva? Miva's (aka Findwhat's) traffic, although quite high in some cases, was inflated by over 90% foreign junk traffic in my last test... correct me if they've cleaned up since then, or now offer some kind of geotargetting.

Funny you should say that, they were the only ones to offer to do a 'traffic investigation' and have discovered foreign traffic had come through on their partner network and offered compensation for it.

I should also add that they have blocked any additional traffic coming through from these IP addresses so we will see in future results if this has worked or not.
