Keyword 'Widgit', is very popular in Google but when i do a keyword search in Wordtracker, the keyword comes up with a Count of 400 (taken from 312 million search queries over the last 60 days).

Can someone explain the 400 to me/? I feel this number should be much higher...

Thanks for any help!

I am not sure about the results in WordTracker for the term 'Widget'. The term is used here at WW in a generic sense to keep people from getting too specific. I am not sure that many people in the real world sell a product named 'Widget' or some variation of the term.

Does it matter what my keyword is/? I would like to know how 'count' in worktraker is related to real life searches....

It doesn't matter what your keyword is. I thought you were referring to the kw 'widget' and wondering why the search number (400) was so low.

If I understand it correctly, WordTracker keeps track of over 350 million searches done across the web. The data is gathered from the largest metacrawlers on the net (i.e. - metacrawler, dogpile). So the number returned to you when you were searching for the term 'Widget' represents the number of times people searched for the term over the past two months (60 days). I hope this helps answer your question.

yes, thank you!

Sorry, I just used the term 'widgets' because I thought it was inappropriate to actual list my keywords...

Your interpretation were my original thoughts, but the number does seem low:(

Thanks for your help!
