Exchange and IIS?

Pointing to messages from a database.

I'd like to access messages in Exchange 5.5 from an IIS server running .net. I'll have a SQL database containing trouble tickets. I'd like to be able to associate emails in Exchange with the tickets. I can't even visualize how this might work, but it would seem to be a need that others would have run into.

Any comments?

I don't have any real experience in this. However, I'll point you at this [urbanlegend.com] article on programming exchange. He lists several different ways of programming exchange. I don't know how current they are.

I'll point you also to this [xoc.net] download of a sample Visual Basic application that I wrote that is capable of at least reading your mailbox. I don't know how helpful that will be in your situation.
