Poll: What web stats service do you use?

I'm curious to see what the webmasters here use...

Tried a few

Netracker, Web Trends...

Currently using WebLog Expert - verdict it does what I need and @ $75 it's very cost effective.

Would love to see a side-by-side comparison chart...

Most clients use Web Trends or NetTracker. Some are moving to more advanced analytics tools so conversions can be tracked back to entry pages, keywords, search engines, search engine and keyword and other sources.

Ads are tracked thrgouh DouleClick DART or ATLAS from Avenue A

I'm using FastStats Analyzer. Some of the ISP's that I deal with provide LiveStats, Analog, etc. LiveStats and FastStats are quite similar.

I am using FastStats on my PC since the ISP's only provide one or two months worth of traffic logs.

Have used them all at various times and now settled on Sawmill. Does my simple and complex jobs without any problems, it's inexpensive and there is great support from Greg Ferrar the Sawmill product manager. So much so that if you can think of a worthwhile improvement it will be in the next update (which are regular and free). No involvement in the product myself just a happy user.

FastStats (just bought, really nice) and analog still sometimes. Its interesting to see the differences in how the two count pageviews etc.

FastStats. I have used it for 4 years or so and have never had any problems. It gives great information and is fairly easy to set up.

Hi Skibum,

In your post above, you mentioned:

"Some are moving to more advanced analytics tools so
conversions can be tracked back to entry pages, keywords,
search engines, search engine and keyword and other sources."

If you don't mind sharing, what are the "more advanced
analytics tools" you are referring to? I'm curious.

Thanks!

Louis

Accrue Insight for basic counting. Its terrible system left over from the 90's. Stay away from it at all costs, even if it was free the time spent with it will kill you.

We built an internal logging tool that writes to an Oracle DB that is amazing for monitoring transactional data, and for handling traffic to the dynamically generated sections of our site. We are probably going to move this onto MySQL soon.

I have also used webtrends and analog on smaller sites and like them both.

I've used WebTrends, Live Stats, Webalizer, and Analog - not to mention just looking through the raw logs. I purchased NetTracker a week or so ago and love it. Best tool I've used out of the bunch.
