And I gone from about 200 backlinks to 400.....
Think they dropped google and have more space in now....
Added: they are definetely dancing,
have less pages in altavista than before........only 8 pages.
Today most of my pages show in the index and are about where I would expect them to be in serps. I am also getting traffic from Yahoo!.
I can only assume that Yahoo! has at last managed to fix the Inktomi problem, at least for me. My thanks to whoever at Yahoo! pulled the switch.
I hope so, they manage to delete about 25% of my more important internal pages. These were all in the top 5 of there target phrase before this, and now "poof" no longer in the index. It is like they did an update before they were completely finished with crawling. On a bright note, most of my pages retained similar positioning and my homepage seemed to take a move north on several keyword phrases. I think at this point I have broken even with this update.
a bad one for me I guess,
about 5 of my sites that weren't rank but indexed about 500-1000 pages, now all totally gone, removed from the index.anyone experiencing the same thing?
Yep. Number 1 on Google and was in the top 15 on Yahoo. Now not in the top 200 for Yahoo in regards to the same keyword search (still 1 on google).
I am noticing a few more "article" type pages ranking higher.
I am also noticing that this is a bit more spammy:
1) I see a group of sites that is heavily cross-linked, generated from cheap website templates. The SEO doing the work is back-linked in so he's in plain view. This type of work would have been caught by Google as spamming.
2) I see a couple of sites in a 2-word phrase that are not very related to the context of the search. But because of the difference in the words (both can be used as nouns), its causing erratic results. Google used to show similar results up until about a year ago. Then they fixed this problem.
Looks to me like Yahoo is trying some new things with their, and is running into the same problems Google fixed a year or two ago.
