Submitting products for a fee!

Hi,

I have site that let my customers to submit their products for free, now I want to let them to submit their products for a fee 2-3$ maximum at this way they will have advantages like; products will have most exposure and so on. At the same time I will keep the old way (submitting for free) but of course their products will not have the same advantages as submitting for a fee.
Do you think that this will work and success?

Etar, this question is kind of difficult to answer without more information. What it really comes down to is the value your product submitters place on your site - do they get a good flow of leads and sales now? If so, they might be very willing to pay a small listing fee. If they derive little value now and list only because it's free, then you will probably have few takers on the paid offer.

Actually I do not know if they really have a value now when they submit for free, I do not know how can evaluete this position now!

One way to evaluate things (other than simply contacting your current advertisers) would be to check your logs and/or click-tracking data to see what kind of traffic you are sending out. If you aren't tracking clicks now, you should start.

I'd make my case like this:

Dear ____,

Thanks for submitting your free product listing for the Widget Polisher. We've run this listing for two weeks, and during that time we've sent 105 visitors to your site. I trust that you were able to convert a portion of those clicks into sales.

We now have a new program that I am confident will perform even better, and send more well-qualified traffic to your site...

To close the deal, at least in the long run, you need to show you are delivering value. Good luck!

Rogerd, I have more than 12 new submitters each day! add to that thier will have new features for who want to submit for a fee.
