I'm seeing what could be called a minor update, or some serious flux. The problem is that we don't have the monthly Google dances of days gone by. There is no agreed upon term for these minor updates today.
Apparently there is some factor that backlinks play when computing a site's position, and BL updates only occur about once a month (the last one was Feb 3). So a "minor update" will likely happen whenever they do a backlink update (and also quarterly PR updates).
So please when posting it would be great if you can tell us:
- where your based and where your host is based.
- data center IP's.
- How many results returned for the keyword you watch. (this is handy)
- and any other information you find relevant.
thanks
This would tend to explain a lot of what I see.
MIA on others. it varies by a few. old data?
Today it is 4th (Just below a page that mysteriously appeared in place of mine in position 3)
Still no sign of my other site that disappeared from the top ranking at around the same time.
