Wow, five minutes ago I was using Google and they had their regular logo. What a difference five minutes can make!

Wild PR fluctuations, all spidering halted..
I'd say we are on the "edge"...

Michelangelo, in full MICHELANGELO DI LODOVICO BUONARROTI SIMONI (b. March 6, 1475)

March 6, has to be PST, which is about 1 hr 15

I wish they had incorporated the "TM" into the rocks somewhere. It ruins the otherwise gorgeous image.

I can see it now -- 20 people from these forums refreshing link:www.yahoo.com over and over... THEN... It changes and BOOM 10 posts about 'The Update Has Started' appear in the forums. :)

Now what I wonder is -- who will have the first?

:D

P.S. Guilty

A man frozen in time, very similar to the update.
Splendid!

Raphael, Italian in full RAFFAELLO SANZIO (b. April 6, 1483)

Will we do artists this year? Note, 1 month from Michelangelo to Raphael. Of course, da Vinci's is April 15.

LOL daroz, I was thinking the exact same thing...

We had 3 "New Google Logo" posts, and now that there's a new logo and everyone's eyes are on www2 and www3... We could have about 15 simultaneous "Update started" posts, hehe.

I'll venture a guess and say midnight Google time. (PST)

It is a "birthday" update afterall... ;)

EST = GMT-5
PST = GMT-8

In other words, about 38 mins to Midnight PST.

Very nice logo!

Did not know you could actually click on the logo, has this always been the case?

During the Ressaisance, didn't a clever Pope change the calendar? I recall some piece of trivia about 13 days disappearing all-of-a-sudden to correct for leap year errors. As a result, Michelangelo-the-artist's true birthday might be two weeks away.

Which makes we wonder, when is the birthday of Michelangelo the TMNT?

Just did a quick check on www2.google.com to see if an update started yet. No update, but was rewarded with a very interesting and kind of cool graphic of Michaelangelo.

Where does Google come up with these ideas for graphics, anyway?
