Yes, there is. We know that the amount of links for Yahoo and Google will change in each update, as with your website you said that people should be linking to you.

I KNOW the sites have linked to me, I KNOW the links are on pages indexed by Google, I KNOW the pages linking to me were crawled (and freshed). I KNOW there are additional internal pages linking back to the home page that already have been indexed in the mid cycle update. My general question (although I didn't phrase it that way) was more about whether we would see the changes first on the big sites, which doesn't really make sense when i think about it.

Why haven't the Sept 24 fresh listings shown up yet? My pages were all crawled yesterday. It doesn't seem any sept 24 fresh listings exist. Now that my sept 23 fresh listings are gone I expected my rankings to fall back again but they didn't. Cool.

I've been wacthing all this expectation and it seems pretty much like a virgin's dream , she is afraid but she wants it so bad . I read things here like : ohh ..I wait this for so long ..I'm so exited ... I want to be crawled so deep all over my site ..I really need it .. etc .(kinda scary coming from males ...)
But I was asking to myself : how will I know if the Googlebot serpent visisted my site and didn't index it? I mean , my stats only shows the last 20 visitors , so unless I get stuck there I wont be able to know if the serpent did come to kiss my site . Will my site's colours be brighter in the morning? Will it look more shiny?

Can anyone tell me how does the the Goolgebot IP looks like (is it big? )

I think you mean Googlebot not SERP. SERP stands for 'Search Engine Results Position' as in where you rank in Google ect for a certain Keyword. To find out some info on Googlebot (Googles Spider) search for it on the 'site search' you should find lots of threads about it there.

Thanks ! I corrected it now :)

anyway I meant the SERPent that crawls .. but I realized I have a bug confusion coz the Bot is a spider isn't it?

The "dance" has not started yet and its already near the end of Sept. Has Google ever skipped a month before?

Maybe the "SERPent" is busy with its newly started auotmatic news editing webpages?

Can sense a growing number of desperate souls here..... :)

Hello Eyeinthesky,

There was no update in March this year, but that was compensated with 2 full updates in April. You can view the update pattern here:

And, if you look at that chart, before this year there were 5 month where the update occurred between the 26th and 29th days of the month. Thus, while the update is a bit later than usual for this year, I wouldn't say that it is overdue, as in whatever happened in March.

Hey Dazz, great post. Wish I seen this before I broke the cardinal rule a couple of days ago and said looked like the dance had started based on www - ww3 index differences.

Think I'll point the auto alert service that's been spamming me with emails about the dance starting at this post... ;)
