I'll bet Microsoft is happy. search.msn.com seems to be working fine. :)

I'm surprised Symantec hasn't picked up on MyDoom.O yet.

Great strategy:
1 Produce Crap Software
2 Allow said software to DDOS competition
3 $$$

I've been googling all morning here in the States (Chicago area). No problems at all. I've been using Firefox to search...

It does make one wonder, doesn't it?

Seems almost too perfect

MSN is showing no delays

Google is down in UK & Poland and through proxy servers from US.

Maybe it's down to electricity shortage in California :)

>I'm being told that a hostile DNS attack was launched against google, and that a fake registration to google.com through our favourite spammer domain service gandi.net was performed.

doing a whois lookup seems to confirm this

Out of interest - are we seeing people coming into our sites from other ses? Could be fun to see where people turn to when Google breaks down!

Wel... I don't think you'll get a better chance than this to launch that search engine you've had hiding in your closet.

Im curoius as to whether googlebot is making the rounds...any one have logfile showing it?

I mean what is the emergency proceedure over in google-land, do you stop crawling and focus on maximizing your bandwidth or do you keep googlebot out there in the wild?

I've been getting upwards of a dozen virus emails a day (that fit the description) for several weeks - are we saying these are responsible for bringing down Google, etc?

If the answer is yes, someone screwed up big time in the payload analysis.

Kaled.
