steveb, I believe the 64.x.x.x data center has the change, but I'm not positive. We use different terminology inside Google. :)
Powdork, I'm not sure if you'd call it an update exactly (different algorithms play more of a role than different data). But I'm guessing the change will probably roll out over the course of the weekend.
All my pages are still in Google with no titles or cache and Googlebot has stopped visiting. Will I be back when Brandy is complete? If not is there anything I can do to get back, given that I have scanned my site and can find no reason for any penalty.
There was a long thread on this last month. I seem to remember it had something to do with a domain resolving for two URLs. Like www.domain.com and domain.com. This looks like you have two duplicate sites to Google because one redirects to the other. I've seen lots of these redirecting URLs in the index lately with no cache or description. Perhaps your DNS administrator has changed how the two forms resolve and this has caused the problem.
Can't see why the problem you describe would have anything to do with this update "Brandy". I'd go and read back and do some investigating.
Best wishes
Sid
I think directories are anoying and useless - they make a user search Google, then have to plow through a directory to find what they are looking for!
Google - why give directories the top rankings for Real Estate searches as well as many other industries?
Am starting to see movement on www inc freshies for 12th and 13th, but nothing like the promised 64. so I certainly hope there are more changes to come. If things settle now I've had it.

I have exactly the same problem in 64.233.161.99 with 75% of my pages
showing a url only - no title or cache. These are Lycos (Tripod) web pages.
Google.co.uk seems to still be showing the old results, but on 64.233.161.99 we're where we were in November (or better!) position wise.
Be nice to be back as I couldn't work out why we'd suddenly been shunted way down the list (from being between #1 and #5 to being #900+) - it didn't seem fair to say the least!
Anyway, if the end result looks like what's showing on 64.233.161.99 I'll be opening something good from the warehouse tonight to celebrate.
Would anyone mind taking a look at a page I've just been playing with and give me their opinion if I've over egged the omelette KW wise? I'm a bit of a novice at this :)
