I've seen it at the bottom of some .com SERPs, but you're right, they're shamelessly self-promoting on the front pages of those languages. :)

I think that Toolbar 2.0 is now available in several non-English languages, so we're letting people know. We run toolbar info messages from time to time on our home page, and now you can get the form-filling/popup-blocking toolbar in several other languages..

The toolbar was always such a cool idea, and now that it does more than just search you will get more people to install it. The autofill feature, not for me :D

As usual, great marketing showing a graphic of the toolbar in the other language (on the front page of course). Bet the conversion rate is over 90%. :)

Different Languages = Nice to have
Different OSes = Must have

Honestly when can we expect some Linux Support, or at least Mozilla Support.
The only reason why we still have 1 windoze running here is that there are no PR-Tools other than the googlebar.

The Google Zeitgeist [google.com] shows Linux as 1% (probably rounded up) of Google's traffic compared to 91% for Windows. I wouldn't hold my breath on the Linux Toolbar.

You might want to check out [googlebar.mozdev.org...]
plasma. That's what I use on Linux/Mozilla.

I need the PR Display, and you can only get that with Windows + IE (and both suxx ;)

I have always wondered by Google never promoted their toolbar on *all* search result pages? Seems like logical thing to do and an opportunity lost!

GoogleGuy probably has a better way of getting PR than the toolbar...

I've always hated toolbars because they are usually self serving (most are there to promote their own sites). But I actually find the google bar usefull (the 'blog this' feature is what made me try it).
