Same here AAnnAArchy.
Mine even has a NEW! dmoz and google directory listing,no old links show and have numerous new ones but still not showing in the serps and no STILL NO PR.
The funny thing is tho they have indexed my images in "GOOGLE IMAGES" so people can come and pinch them.
GGRRRR!
My existing PR 6-7 sites didn't move around at all, but for my 4 sites that were brand new (all started mid-July to early August) and thus have been showing PR0 until today, two now show PR5, one is PR6 and one (newest and least promoted so far) is PR4.
The traffic they've been getting per page in Google for the last couple of weeks seems to reflect the PR ranking that is now showing for them, but that could also have more to do with the fact that the higher PR site has the most focused content on and has been promoted more heavily then the others.
Links vary some up MOST down
SERPS up!
SEMPO homepage just hit a PR5..not bad for a new site!

For my industry, their is no relationship between
PR and keyword ranking. PR does not bring in the money. Being listed in Google and above the fold on the first search page is what brings in the doe.
As far as i know my site is clean so i'm hoping this is just temporary. My site is in my profile if anyone would be wiling to take a look and comment if they see anything that doesn't look right and would cause a penalty.
Thanks!
PR...well who the heck knows what it really is? Gave up caring several months ago, it seems to be totally irrelevant in the big picture now. PR only seems important on a few primary keywords.....but the vast majority of traffic comes from elsewhere.
Backlink anchor text, way too much relevance given to something that is so easy to manipulate...Google look at how Yahoo solves this problem! Even without using Ink!
Fresh results still getting more than their fair share of attention IMHO. Google obviously wants a PHP only web, or an SSI CGI web!
Overall my positions are just about exactly the same as before on the primary terms, which account for about 5% of all traffic.....I'm guessing this is gonna be a non event for me....have to wait a week to see what actually happens;)
if it looks like a dance, feels like a dance, smells like a dance
it's a wierd dance. The index was all fresh and nice on 27th & 28th...then it's gone back to the old index, and worse it now got some unfiltered results on top! All my old pages are showing, and the new ones which appeared for one day on the 27th have disappeared!
hey, push that red button again
Hi.
What exactly do some of you mean the serps? I just registered here, but had visited occasionally for about a year.
I had some sites gain pr and some lose it, My highest site pr5 dove to a 3. Last time there were changes in pr I jumped up a lot, but then recieved less than 1/2 the normal traffic.
My best listings still appear, is that what you mean Serps?

If I try to check the pages crawled for a particular folder which has only 500 pages in my site, it shows around 800. When I click on the next results and go till the end, it displays around 500 results only and says "Results 501 - 552 of about 800".
Whats going on? for other of my domains, I noticed the same. And yeah, the dance is wild ;)
On my specific directories, I know exactly how many files are in each directory.
On general search terms, I have a list of multiple-word searches I did on August 1. Each one of these totals has suddenly increased about 80 to 95 percent.
Broken.
I wonder if the backlink counts are skewed also?
Could be due to the fact that it were only internal links that caused the move from 107 to 163, and that the percentage of internal vs. external links was too high.
Strange thing is that many recent backlinks are listed but there are missing good PR 5 links for example for pages that are in the index for sure.
I've got relatively new sites, and just on Saturday noticed they were getting traffic off google,(I look at the logs everyday) so I checked and was very happy and surprised with my top ranks on all datacentres and local uk google. Not for long. Sunday morning I found my sites disapearing off all Google datacentres but www-cw. By SUNDAY night sites were completely out even when I search using site command.
I am using seo techniques but not wicked ones. Its hard to believe that I got banned so quickly. Anyone else noticed something similar?
Sounds like your site received a temporary freshbot listing.
Don't worry, they'll be re-listed.
