Google vs. Yahoo on Marketplace

Today's Marketplace [marketplace.org] is going to have a segment on the SE industry, specifically Google vs. Yahoo. Likely it won't be much news to us, but may still be of some interest. I'll post a summary here later. It looks like their website has realaudio archives, so it should be available there if you miss the show or don't have access to public radio.

Yeah, nothing surprising. It mostly focused on PPC. There was some idle speculation that Google could buy Yahoo after an IPO. They also acknowledged MS as being the wildcard, with lots of cash to work with if they don't want to develop their own SE.

CNN did an article today also. Not much information, just the same bad journalism for the masses.
