GoogleGuy said here a month or two ago that we could expect one last Google dance. But now with the continuous updating of the index this seems unnecessary. Which leaves the matter of the PRs to be sorted. Perhaps this last promised dance will be the updating of the PRs, after which they will receive the same continual treatment causing minor fluctuations. How is this for a hypothesis?
The present situation puzzles me.

BlueSky: Nope, no variables, thoroughly mod-rewritten. I have links from another site of mine (a PR 5) but it isn't freshed often enough to help.

I'm wondering whether the cache busting (for tracking purposes) is confusing it, being told it's always updated when it hasn't changed in all that time. At the weekend I'm going to try taking out the cache-busting code for the better known bots. Not that I expect it to help the inner pages get indexed any faster. It's just irritating me that Google now indexes the home page twice a day while avoiding the rest. Even Teoma has started on the top level pages! Shame nobody uses them.
