I've had pages added as well over the last few weeks - even days.

My count is dropping, but that is primarily because my host finally fixed their 404 response, and Google is dropping those pages. Last week I had a large number of pages added, so there is definitely some changes continuing. :)

Okay, I feel really ignorant here, but I'm kinda new to the whole Google Game, and I'm stymied as to the meaning of allinwhatever. Could someone kindly point me to a resource or offer a brief explanation to get me up to speed?

Thanks so much!

basically, it's a way to find out how many of your pages are indexed by Google and in the current dbase being served to the world.

1) go to Google

2) type in:

allinurl:domain.com

- it's like the "link:" or "site:" keywords, you've probably tried them. This one makes G show pages with the query as part of the url. You might want to look at this link:

[google.com...]

/claus

Ah, thanks! That is super-helpful! I've definitely used link: but not the other operators.

In fact, I kinda gave up on advanced searches with Google. I love the search engine in general, but have had the darndest time trying to find links to my site that aren't FROM my site...

e.g., +link:mysite.com -site:mysite.com doesn't seem to work. Blah :(

You're right, that doesn't seem to work. Try this as a workaround:

mysite.com -site:www.mysite.com
