Hi!

Google is showing 15 results instead of 10 per page (default). Have you noticed?

And where's the slide show, it started a week back?

Results 1 - 10 of about 122,000. Search took 0.07 seconds.

Not seeing it from the UK.

You must have accidently saved a cookie with 15 results per page enabled. I don't see 15 results :)

You may have set your preferences somewhere else (like in
Opera).

You can set Google's default to any number you like (max 100) with &num= .

Sorry if i sounded cryptic but i assumed guddu is from India. A major source of surfing the net in India is cybercafe and as there are many users in a cybercafe machine it is possible that some person might have saved a cookie through either Google preferences or Browser settings. Since google does not have 15 results per page setting it most probably can be a browser setting. These were just my assumptions which can be totally wrong :)

Yes, I am from India but I use internet only either at work or from home. I did not configured any settings. It was just that day itself that www.google.com (the common one for all, as we do not ahve Google India) was showing 15 results per page. Now, it is showing 10 results once again.

The same, as it showed an option for slide show results just for one day and now the option disappeared. Did you noticed the slide show option or did you missed that too?

Though it was slow, it was a great introduction.

I think these are some changes Google is planning to have in near future. Googleguy can answer them correctly.

off topic, but another strange thing is that the -zu data center is showing a different google logo - the one for earth day, which is in April.

to get 15 results, or any number < 100, you can add the code

&num=15

to the end of the URL

another useful code is

$start=50

which fetch the results start from #50

Don't suppose anyone remembers how to get the Google results in a numbered list, do they? I distinctly remember seeing this as a querystring option once upon a time, but I can't find any mention of it.

Perhaps it doesn't exist; in which case, my dreams are very, very disturbing.

WibbleWobble:

After running a search replace 'search?' in the url with 'ie?'. Note that this will give you rather compacted results though. Is this what you were after?

Hmmm, thats got the numbers like I want, but thats not how I remember it. I remember it being exactly like normal results, but with numbers. It was the height of cool.

Cheers anyway, I guess I can find a use for it.

Numbered results at www.google.com/ie

The &num option doesn't work here?
