"UP.Browser/3.1.04-SC02 UP.Link/5.0.2.7a (Google WAP Proxy/1.0)"

Or is this old news? Couldn't find anything with site search.

CleanerBot? Linky? (reminds me of one of the ghosts on Pac Man ;)

That's a wireless device browsing your site.

An Arin search shows it to be coming from Google-space on the 'net, though. A wireless Link Checker out by the lake?

Google has been doing this for quite a while.

They provide a WAP (Wireless Application Protocol) Gateway to access their search results and convert the resulting sites to wml (or equivalent) on the fly. That lets browsers on Mobile Phones (note the UP browser ... Urban Planet) access whatever content they find via their google search, even sites which would not normally be browseable.

To learn more, try searching google.com for WAP sites.

For more about Google's implementation of it, try searching for google WAP sites.
