Getting More From Google [technologyreview.com]

You’ll find people whose lives were alternatively saved, ruined, or simply enriched by Google. One person whose Web page was returned by the search even went so far as to say that Google runs his life. Scary thought, that.

He should come and stick around here for a day or two ;)

Since Google’s search algorithms are so accurate...

He really needs to come here and read a few posts!

I would really like to reply but spamdexing takes up all my free, free, free, free, time that I normally save for sex, sex, sex, sex.;).

I wonder how much these guys get paid for writing this inaccurate stuff? I guess soon we will see the proliferation of inaccuracy to the point where it became "fact".

I guess some may think we are already there ;)

>"google changed my life"
>"google changed my life"

That should be enough optimization for WW to rank number 1 in a few days :)

The article had one true gem in it
that I have not seen on webmasteworld.

The author called it *GAMING THE SYSTEM*

If more readers realised that this is
exactly what they are doing there would
be many less *woe is me* posts. ;)

Think Las Vegas, Enron, California Electricity.

It gets tried, and you win or lose.
It's not spam, or a penalty, or whatever.
It's just another feature of a long running
game.

NEXT ROLL!

I think Las Vegas several time per year, but in reality they usually end up taking a chunk of the money made from the "Google Gaming" :(

If Vegas was a easy as Google, I would relocate :)

A PubCon in Vegas, now that would be something worth thinking about.....once per quarter would be useful ;)

For the record:

I plan to give google-changed-my-life.com to a super affiliate [3rd tier] on one of my programs.

She is a stay at home mom who is raising a child with "childhood stroke" [ninds.nih.gov]

With the help of a Mod at SEF we took her from nothing to $10,000 per month in 14 months with the help of Google. This is a true story and goes to show that Google CAN change your life.
