10 or more google bots on my site

I have seen a copuple of times already, that there are a lot of googlebots on my site.
10 or more sometimes.

Is this due to back links who point them to my site, all about the same time?
(I have about 2000 backlinks in ATW)
Or could there be something wrong with the way I build my site?

I looks pretty harmless and cosy, it like they have a break and take a smoker together while watching my site.
Or is it less harmless I do i need to do something?

Nothing to worry about. Googlebots work in teams. Each one lining up to run in a grab a page or two.

Ms. Googlebot and friends like cold milk and chocolate chip cookies. Leave some on your site and watch your positioning soar. ;-) It's a well-known SEO technique.

We have put a load of new pages (about 100) on our site and since friday have had hundreds of freshbot visits from about 10 different 64.68.82.* bots

Usually only one every few days.

Assuming they're indigenous to Cali, I've been feeding them my homemade veggie burgers--hope their not coming home with gas.

Unplug the network cable and ransom them back to google.

Or better still sell them on eBay server, with 10 live Googlebots

Leaving that out on a few thousand pages seems to bring them swarming in ;)
