Regional or Main Google option

I can now choose - is this new?

Suddenly noticed today that when I open Google, I can choose my local regional version, or go to the main Google site. Is that new, or have I been sleep-walking for a while?

I recall some posts here on WW where people were complaining that they couldn't 'break out' of their regional Google's.

It's a nice feature, nonetheless.

peewhy,

I should have been more explicit. I'm in NZ, and the feature appears as a 'go to Google.com' link along the links in the lower section of the main Google page. And if I click on that, then the main page has a link that says, 'go to google.co.nz'.

Nifty.

Nice one Outrun, that's the thread that I remembered, but I didn't see the latter half of it.

The NZ option has probably been there for yonks, but I've only just seen it. Ever since finding WW, my head's been filled with grandiose ideas of untold wealth and numerous number one spots on Google. Keep walking into lampposts too.

I wonder if Google will add the UK as the 51st state of the USA.?
