Google and Flash files

When will it read flash?

Google cannot read the content of flash files, whilst ATW can.

Is this peripheral to Google's serps or a core to keeping it in 1st place?

Actually that was my position right from the beginning of the thread. I was just correcting some assertions that Flash content could not be indexed.

ATW could and maybe should link to the page the .swf is embedded on, somewhat like Google Images works, but I still don't have any need or desire to see Flash in my search results.

P.S. A search engine limited to 100% accessible and standards-compliant sites would be a great idea, really, but I don't see why everybody's mindset is that GOOGLE must change to suit them. That would be a great niche for a competitor to move into.
