Linked spacers in my drop down menus

Will I get banned?

I have just finished implementing new drop down menus. The issue is I didn't realize the spacers (transparent) were linked. This is required for the menus to work.

The images are 5x2 transparent gifs and they are next to the text of each menu item. The A tag is wrapped around both the IMG and the text together. The images of course have no title or alt text.

Ignore the fact that everything is inside hidden divs that show up when you mouseover an imagemap.

I am honestly not trying to cheat but I'm afraid Google's new filters will consider I am.

Am I begging to get banned automatically? Are those poor little innocent gifs an offense?

I really don't think you have anything to worry about. You could always move the linked images to a variable in a .js to keep them out of googlebots reach. Is this a script you found somewhere? If so I would look at other sites using the script and see if they have any problems. Like I siad though I don't think you will have a problem.
