Google image search with Akamai

is anyone else having problems?

Most of the images, flashes and other static content on my website is Akamaized (comes from Akamai servers rather than our servers). The URLs for such a file may look something like:
http://a1234.g.akamai.net/f/1234/2345/12h/domain_name/path/file_name.gif

doesn't look like Google Image spider is picking these up. any idea why? the URL may be long but it doesn't contain special characters,?'s etc.

You will probably find that the file paths are changing over time and thus the image never has a fixed location.

the paths are not changing over time any more than a normal image path would. i have those paths in my code.

Can you find them searching by file_name. I'm not informed in this area but the first thing that comes to my mind is connecting the image with the search query.
