Can we get an "official" change of the statement; "more than weeks, less than months" to "more than days, less than weeks"? :) Seriously, though, knowing that freshbot is now doing deepbot's job put a lot of us at ease. Thanks for the info GG!
Happy to try to help, mfishy. I ain't official no matter how you slice it, but I feel relatively comfortable saying less than weeks. If that changes, I'll let you know. As always, I'll try to be around to answer questions about what to expect.
Update soon come, everyone... restock the bar and stay on the ground floor.
Thanks for the heads-up, GG. Your post should be quoted whenever anyone complains about you being impossibly cryptic.

I have been anxiously awaiting the addition of backlinks myself. It has crossed my mind recently, as I am doing quite well as is, that I should be careful what I wish for.
Is it common for a new site to have its backlinks in and then lose them weeks ago and have not seen them since?

That would be less then weeks, Googleguy? Now lets wait until this data gets into the index with a nice little dance!
Perfectly normal behavior for Google. Wait somewhere between days, weeks, months, years and millenniums and Google may or may not decide to include the site permanently.
$1000 on number 25 hedged with $2K on red.....spin the wheel!
We all have this problem with new sites, and no one really knows when it will be resolved.

HTH, thanks
The google dance is what happens when the update propagates across the various datacentres. Repeated searches for a kw on Google will give different serps depending on which datacentre you hit, thus the kw appears to be dancing around in the serps. You can find much more info on the dance by using the site search at the top of this page.
Has anyone seen their missing backlinks return yet? I have hundreds of incoming links, they register fine on ATW and the others, but Google has me as a big fat zero links. Anyone else have their backlinks go missing, and if so, have you seen any of them return yet?
thanks,
Chris
