.htaccess search on Google

Page cannot be displayed

Hi,

I was looking for a reference on .htaccess but searching on Google gives me a Page cannot be displayed error (not the Google 404). Changing the search to %2Ehtaccess works fine though.

Anybody experienced this with any other searches?

I've tried .com .co.uk and .de and everytime I get the same error. I tried your link too and I got the same. Perhaps it's just me, but everything else seems ok :(

Strange. I tried the search in few different browsers with no problems. Not sure why it might not work for you.

AFAIK, this is unrelated to Google...

I had the same problem when I was using Norton internet security. Are you using it, by any chance?

I don't remember if it was caused by the firewall or by the popup filter which adds some JavaScript code to the pages. ;)

I just tried Netscape on my PC (I'm an IE person) and it gives a "The document contains no data" alert. However, I tried it in Mozilla on my SGI and the search works just fine. Weird! :)

Of course now I'll have that nagging feeling there is something wrong with my PC for weeks!
