Would it be considered spam?

I am planning to create a text version of my entire web site so that advanced internet
users can browse much quicker. However, I'm concerned that it may be considered spam; seeing
as how every page with be duplicated with respect to content?

What the latest word on this issue?

It's not spam. You'll be doing your visitors with disabilities a big favor. You should use noindex tags though. You don't want your text-only pages showing up in the search results by accident, do you?

Look at the BBC ;) And that certainly has no trouble getting a nice high PR

[news.bbc.co.uk...]

[news.bbc.co.uk...]

<edit reason>: adding the bbc links</edit reason>

hi fashezee
i have been using text version of all my articles (thousands) for like 2-3 months now and i dont think google has a problem with this. i still do not have no index tags, but i have to agree it is perhaps a good idea.
