Creeping up in my logs for the past six months has been cometsystems. At first I thought they were another Google partner, but it appears their premium results are those of Yahoo!. They are currently surpassing notable Google affiliate Netscape in addition to Earthlink. Anyone else have similar experiences

That's traffic being generated by the Comet Cursor browser parasite. Results for that are from Overture.. do you have an Overture bidding account? If so, I'd consider closing it to stop this kind of parasite activity from burning through your balance.

Yeah - I use commetsystems a fair bit myself.

It has a useful date on all archive/cached pages.

Though its showing some fresh dates, its also showing how old some of the stuff in the latest update actually is.

This will be interesting to track over the coming months if the talk turns out to be true about google moving away from a monthly dance, to a constantly updating system.
