Is this normal?

I used to have two domains, one of them simply pointing (parked) in the main domain

When my site dessapeared from google index I notice that:

A search for www.domain.com will not show anything and "webpages that contain the term www.domain.com" showed nothing either

while a search for www.domain.co.uk (pointing-parked domain), despite not showing either as url,it showed quite a lot of pages from my website after clicking in "webpages that containt the terms www.domain.co.uk"

Is that behaviour normal?

I mean, a pointing domain should not show at all, shouldnt?

I kind of suspect that somehow Google having confused itself with a pointing domain and "thinking" that it was a duplicate, are of why they have removed my main domain.

Could I be right on my statement?

Thanks

You are right in thinking that Google has picked one of the two domains to consider the 'real' domain, and that is the one it is likely to use.

Remember that search engines have no way of knowing which is the parked domain, and which is the 'real' domain, unless you 'tell' them by using a 301 redirect on the parked domain.

Search for 301 redirect here for more information on how to do this.
