Hi, it is strange that some of the backward links from high PR (>=PR5) pages are gone during this update.
The links were post around Jan 2003, and it shows on google's backward links counter during March to April, but don't know why it is out of google's backward links counter in the May update, actually, the links are still on the pages, never be moved, I also noticed that some other links on the pages to other sites are counted by google, and these sites are belong to the same product category, so, it should be related content.
Why google cut my links? is it still on the dance?
I noticed that once my backward links number reach about 200, google will cut some and low me down to the number of about 20 to 40, so, although there are 1000+ backward links to my site, google only count no more than 40. Bad.
Anybody has the same experience? and how to figure out?

One more question, when google say the sites should link to the relevant sites, what is the rules to identify if they are relevant? Does google use literal relevant or human being relevant? For example, we say 'cosmetic' and 'perfume' are relevant, because we are human being. but in google, does it treat the two words as not relevant? So, when we plan to post links, the 'cosmetic' topic should link to some pages like 'cosmetic balabala A', 'cosmetic balabala B', while the 'perfume' should link to 'balabala A perfume', 'perfume balabale B' and so on.

Am I right?

I don't think anyone’s got a real handle on this update yet, I'm just doing my best to ride through it to the end but you may find this interesting
