One point which could maybe explain is that my site is dedicated to photography, and I use a banner on the homepage. This banner holds thumbnails, which are randomly selected each time a new connection is done.
So Googlebot could make the analysis that my homepage is fluctuating. I understood that some bots don't like dynamic content.
Could someone give me a hand? I cannot live without the banner, it is the signature for my site.
Thx.
Stop! Stay with it - it's not the reason for your *problems*!
You only said that your pr seems to have dropped down to 0. What about the positions for relevant searches? Still like before?
>I understood that some bots don't like dynamic content.
Google loooves it!
Allways look at your traffic first, then on your positions and not on your pr. Ignore the toolbar - at least as long as you don't see a significant drop in traffic.
+ my position depending on keywords neither.
So, what the hell is this PR? I still do not understand why it is so important to us if it is not a must for a good position?
Despite I took care of my english, I sometime get trapped.
Thanks for your feedback.
(long life to France webmasters :-)
Sites only a couple of months old have *seemed* to have lost their PR, but they actually haven't. Some of those sites can slip in and out of the SERPs for their keywords and don't show backlinks, but it's just something that's part of the process that's going on now.
See Understanding Dominic [webmasterworld.com] for a rundown.
It'll all iron out in a few weeks, and there's no cause for worry in most cases, as long as the sites are clean with no tricks.
