Google's Web Page Count Unchanged

Google is 'stuck' at 3,083,324,652 pages

While doing some research, I ran across some notes on Google back in January 2001, where Google's web page count went from 1,325,000,000, and increased by about 500m every six months until early November 2002 - where it hasn't changed from its current 3,083,324,652 pages.

There was some discussion here on November 6: [webmasterworld.com...]

As of August, 2002, there were about 2.5 billion pages - but no changes after November of last year.

Maybe G's page counter is broken too...

Hehehe, they are acting like a for profit company and waiting to get the most bang out of their press release. PR stands for more than PageRank. It is also public relations.

A good headline would be "internet is 4,000,000,000 pages wide"
