Results still fluctuating

Someone Plese tell me that the results on ab, in, zu, and cw are the new results and will eventually merge into the other data centers.

correct. I guess the results are changing so quickly in the dc's coz the changes being made are very minimal in comparison to the major montly update that we've had before

Site has been #1 for a couple of months (except for a few odd days out of the index or dropped a few places for some other site to be freshed at #1 for a day or two). Site dropped to #64 a few days ago, then recovered back up to #14 two days later. Today it is back to #1 on those datacentres, but still #14 on www.

The number #2 site dropped to #14 and then recovered to #6, and is now back to #2 now. There must have been significant changes in the algo during that time; which appear to now have been dropped, as the results are back where they were about 6 days ago, just before the latest round of tinkering over the last few days.

I think today is a much different day for many sites in G.
I am watching all day long diffent results in all dc:
www2,www3,sj,fi,ex etc...

I think all positions# went back like 2-3 months ago.
I am just wondering what's going on in here...

I'm seeing all backlinks the same. But from my perspective, the rulebook (if there ever truly was one) is now being re-written. What I mean is that I'm not sure we can sit here at the end of the month / beginning of the next month and chat about when the update "dance" is going to occur. It seems to me that there was no "deepcrawl" per se this month. Instead there seems to have been a constant stream of visits from Freshbot. I could be wrong but IMHO, I suspect that many behavioral rules developed in this forum are no longer valid.

I strongly suggest that you not try to figure out when an update has occurred. Do something else constructive instead like work on your site or watch a ballgame or take a nap.

Let's not start another update thread.

The centers have been changing off and on for the last couple weeks.

You may have just not noticed if your only watching for certain terms.

What you see today, may be different tomorrow.

Google is changing the way they do things so were going to be seeing some different things.

Go have a drink and forget about the update for at least a couple weeks.

At the time of writing, and according to checks on my own pages alone, www-dc appears to be showing the index recalibrated with a massive shift towards keyword density and/or turndown of PR.

I think, however, there is a real risk in becoming psychotic over these things. I, for one, wish I'd never heard of dc, sj etc.

I really can't believe you all are sitting around watching what you think are all the data centers.

All you are doing is feeding your own obsession. It isn't telling you anything useful.

I'm checking one or two sites here and there on www only because that's what the public sees, and there are different results floating in and out with big differences - but it won't tell me anything.

I'm spending my time doing catchup work and working on a site of mine that's been in a sorry state of neglect for a long time. If this all takes a while I'll even get another one polished off, long ovedue.

There's no way we'll be able to tell anything until it all settles, which is doubtful to be happening yet. Personally, I'm taking advantage of it as being a breather and trying to make the best use of the time I don't usually have. There won't be any free time once it settles, might as well let Google do there thing while I do my thing while it's still possible.

I am pretty sure the differences in the datacentres are due to freshbot result being brought in (Without dates).... along with other differences in the datacentres - but I am pretty sure the big changes are due to freshbot

The freshbot results do seem to update on some datacentres before others, noticed this for the first time a couple of days ago when dates were showing - I think this is all we are seeing.

What I'm seeing her all day is definitely not Freshbot, it's stale as months old bread. I've added a little content on one site and have to do an *urgent* update for another this afternoon, hopefully they'll get picked up.

I have a feeling that the kind of changes we are seeing from the past one to two weeks is the way google will work after its upcoming major last update. i.e. it will mostly depend on freshbot for its results....new sites visited by freshbot could be added in the algo rite away...leading to no consistent results...but again this is just my feeling...and no one is sure of what will happen..

The changes I see on www3 -sj etc are nothing to do with Freshbot. What I am seeing is authoritative dense and important pages being substituted with light, spammy and keyword dense pages from the same sites. If www3 is the future, Google is in DooDoo.

People, we really can't tell at this point what's going on or what any outcome will be, so let's not get overly concerned. It's all run its course, the game's not over yet - but it is time for a time-out. Looks like it's a wrap on this one.
