Get links from ODP, Yahoo and all the directories you can find and your site should be indexed soon. It can take up to 3 months before things stabilise.
But no one can be sure these days. ;)

You can find all the pages of your sites indexed by Google if you search for
site:www.mydomain.com -qwerty(replace 'mydomain' by the real name). In your case there is only 1 page; the main page. So you don't have to wait for Google to find your site. You only have to wait to get more pages indexed and to get a better ranking.
But it looks that will happen soon. For example, a search on AllTheWeb [alltheweb.com] for 'www.mydomain.com' gives 41 external links, 15 external pages containing your site name, but only 1 page indexed (the main page). So Google can find those links also.
Teoma [teoma.com] already indexed 10 pages. So don't worry.
