So is the update done now?

Is this it until next month?

It doesn't look like much is going to happen until next month's update. I think this is it for now - give or take some freshie activity.

What is the offical status of Dominic?

At this moment I see -ex and -in with the old index. Not over yet.

There is no way this is even close to over - take a look at the 9 datacenters & compare to -sj

A couple of minutes ago, -ex changed to the new index. Only -in is still showing the old one.

I hope they hurry up and add the missing pages and links.

Yes but don't ignore the fact that -sj is out there on it's own - None of the datacenters match -sj

Confirmed about -ex. And, don't hold your breath about missing links, anchor text, pages, etc. Googleguy mentioned in a post here to expect that to happen in a period more than weeks, and less than months. More than weeks and less than months is the normal interval between updates. Looks like those of us who had those missing in this update will be shafted for a while. :(

But most entertainingly, I am being spidered like crazy by GoogleBot (Freshbot) yet I have disappeared from the index.

Total entertainment (as long as I'm not worried about my traffic that is...)

rfgdxm1, about the missing pages, I fear you're right, but hope you're wrong.

hello rfgdxm1,
In his original post GoogleGuy said 'more than days, less than months'. When he quoted himself later, he said 'more than weeks, less than months'.

However, the techs probably aren't standing around timing it to what is said here on ww.

What makes anyone think we'll even get an update next month?

All anyone can offer are guesses/hopes.

>hello rfgdxm1,
In his original post GoogleGuy said 'more than days, less than months'. When he quoted himself later, he said 'more than weeks, less than months'.

I took that as the latter being more accurate, and he realized it wasn't going to be in a few days. Thus, I'm expecting around a month, the normal time of an update cycle. The thing I find so curious about what he said is that it implies Google will have a new kind of update. Adding in missing links would mean a mid-update change in PR, and adding in additional anchor text would mean changes in how these sites would rank in the SERPs. This has never happened except at update time. If this is the case, Google is moving away from monthly updates to some sort of partial, rolling updates.
