From the glossary, I found:

HiddenText/Tiny Text
Placing same color characters on the same color background causes them to be hidden. This technique was popular for awhile, but search engines quickly caught on and began banning sites for it.

Is this still the valid defination for hidden text? As long as you can read the text on the pgae, they are not hidden right?

I use #666666 on white bg. For a good suttle grey color on white bg, it's not hidden, right?

I guess if you can see it, then is not hidden.

Didi, if you get reported by a competitor, your apparent intent will likely be the key factor. If the text is readily visible, no problem. If the text is hard to see and impossible to read, you've got a problem.

On a human review, how visible it is PLUS how likely the intent is to cheat search engines will be a factor. A hard to read disclaimer that would give you no search engine benefit would be ignored. However, if that semi-hidden text has a lot of keywords...

Thanks guys for the info. I think I am safe on this one. :) I check with my grandma, and she has no problem reading them. With glasses. :p
