Impossible to break out of localized Taiwan Google

I live in Taiwan, and often use a computer running a Chinese OS. In the past when I went to google in defaulted to the Taiwan Google, but there was a link on the home page saying "Google in English" or something like that.

But now (since yesterday?) that "Google in English" link has disappeared. But what's WORSE is that even when I go to www.google.com I'm still seeing the Taiwan Chinese language interface!

If this is some new fangled "innovation" cooked up by that battery of PhD's then I must say, it sucks. I want my English www.google.com back. Please.

Well down in Mexico, Google.com is coming up in English again. If someone wants spanish, they can type in google.com.mx. The problem for me was when they changed google.com to spanish I didnt know where to go to get it back to english. I really dont see why they changed this - as far as I can tell everyone was happy with it before. The internet cafes here had google.com.mx as their home page and people could change to English if they wanted. Let us decide what language we want to use. Pat

Is there a list of all of the valid Google domains around the world?

By the way, I get the google.com SERPs on any server worldwide, and with English buttons and text, if the hl=en is in the seacrh query string, for example:

[google.de...]

Hey, I don't mind if they point google.com to google.com.mx in Mexico. The problem was, there is no google.com.us or google.com.eng for me to go to. I realized later I could have used the australian version.

Well, I found the answer. Including the .com Google is registered in at least 75 different countries, including [google.gg...] for Guernsey and [google.gg...] for Jersey, which are very small islands in the English Channel, close to France. I wonder why they did that?

They also have over 88 different language settings.

Are these servers actually in these foreign countries or is it all still served up from the USA?
